When the Paw Squadron rescuers received an emergency call about a Labrador puppy abandoned at a construction site, they knew they had to immediately drop everything and go rescue him.
Unfortunately, because he was inside the construction site, the determined rescuers had to trespass on the property to retrieve him.
They looked long and hard for him but they were unable to locate him. They decided to take a look around the construction site when they spotted a cardboard box with a tiny head peeking out of it.
Because it was so cold outside, the hoomans wasted no time and took him somewhere warmer. Luckily, the pup wasn’t afraid of the rescuers at all. It was as if he knew they were there to save him.
It was obvious that the adorable pup was very young and had been separated from his mama. This can be very stressful for the pup, so the hoomans knew they had to be very careful and gentle with him so as not to disturb him even more.
After spending so much time at the construction site, the puppy was extremely dusty and dirty. So, a warm and bubbly bath was prepared for him.
After he was all nice and clean, it was finally snack time! And boy, was he starving.
A head-to-tail check-up determined that he had some issues with his health, but nothing his loving hoomans couldn’t take care of.
Both the vets and the rescuers are sure that he will be a healthy puppy in a week’s time!
And, until that happens, his rescuers will do everything they can to make sure that he has everything he needs and more!
However, it is important to note that what happened to him was unacceptable.
Abandoning a puppy so small in such a dangerous area could have had serious consequences. So, please, if you have a pup that you are unable to take care of, please do not do what the owners of this pup did.
Instead, take the furry baby to your local animal shelter and offer them a second chance at life.
