In Detroit, a man returned home one day and discovered a chained dog in a nearby backyard. He quickly sought assistance and Rebel Dogs Detroit answered the call by dispatching Tiffany Perkins, a volunteer to investigate.

Upon arrival, Perkins had no idea what to expect but was immediately smitten with Beaker when she saw him.

According to Perkins, “Beaker was frightened and hiding behind the garage. When I called out to him, he peeked out and his tail started wagging as I approached. He leaned into us and let out a ‘meep’ like a Muppet because he was so excited.

That’s how he got his name!” Despite being abandoned and restrained, Beaker was relieved that Perkins was there to rescue him and immediately warmed up to his new best friend.

After unfastening the chain from the garage, Beaker couldn’t contain his excitement and immediately started rolling on the ground, wagging his tail, and asking for some belly rubs.

Perkins, who was watching him playfully embrace his newfound freedom, noticed that the chain was accidentally tangled around Beaker’s neck. So, she quickly rushed him to the veterinarian’s clinic to get him examined.

During the waiting period, Perkins made the most out of the opportunity to shower Beaker with love and care that he had never received before. Beaker was thrilled by all the attention and affection that Perkins was giving him.

Perkins shared that they had spent a considerable amount of time together in the car, waiting for Beaker’s procedure. She fondly remembered how he eventually fell asleep with his head resting on her lap.

Despite all the challenges that Beaker had faced, his ultimate desire was to receive love, which Perkins had given him. Finally, his wish was granted.

Beaker is currently recuperating from his surgery in his foster home, and he’s known to be the most joyful dog anyone has ever encountered. Regardless of Beaker’s previous experiences, what’s important is his present situation, surrounded by his newfound companions who love him and want him to feel content and safe.

Perkins mentioned that Beaker is undergoing training on how to become an indoor dog while receiving unwavering affection from his foster family.

Beaker is currently on the lookout for his perfect forever home. He would love to be paired up with another energetic and enthusiastic furry friend who can help him learn new things and settle in well.

As soon as Beaker was rescued, he knew he was safe, and now he is eagerly waiting for the opportunity to find a loving family that will give him the care he deserves.
