While they were leaving a call Officers from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office in Florida heard something that made them stop.

From a septic drain they heard whimpering when they came to see they found a poor pooch almost drowning.

The animal was a stray and one of the officers felt that since they found him it was meant for him to adopt the sweet furry.

Most of the people might ignore when they hear small noises but not these kind officers they followed the noise and saved the dog.

James Gettings was one of the kind officers that found the little puppy who was struggling to stay afloat in a septic drain.

He was exhausted and scared, near ready to give up when the rescue came.

The officers bathed the dog several times until he finally smelled like a dog again and then started searching for his family.

But they couldn’t find that he belonged to anyone so officer Gettings decided this was fate so he took the little one home and named him Puddle.

The dog now is growing up and enjoys his life to the fullest.
