Jolene the pit bull had a very difficult life and was nearly starved to death. She was stuck in a shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized.
Sherriff Trevor Reeves happened to see Jolene at the shelter and knew he couldn’t let her be put down.
He took her out of the shelter and rushed her to the vet. They got the attention of Tia and the crew at Pit Bulls and Parolees, who helped rehabilitate and care for Jolene.

Jolene’s transformation is incredible, and she doesn’t even look like the skinny, malnourished dog she once was. She is now happy and healthy and was rescued all thanks to the kind officer!
She was adopted by owners who own a massive ranch with a lot of space for her to run and play. She also gets spoiled and showered with love!
